Mission Statement: The purpose of our youth group Ministry is to provide High school students with an environment in which they can learn to love God and have a thriving relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. It is also our prayer and vision that the youth will be challenged to serve Jesus Christ, and share this immeasurable love of Jesus to other youth, and the world at large. As we like to be defined by the principle (Know, Love and Serve). As this is the grate commission we have received from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

"Matthews 28:18-20 " Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in [ a ] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

In order to accomplish this mission, there are some vital components:

  1. Relationship with God: This is vital to the goal of the youth ministry program at ECFC. This will be accomplished, through teaching and modeling of the Christian life that will lead the unsaved into a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. It is the goal of the ECFC youth ministry program to teach and equip the youth with the essentials of a Christian life so that by the time teens leave for college they will have a thriving relationship with God that is their own.

  2. Environment:
It is the goal of the youth ministry program at ECFC, to create an environment of fun, excitement and acceptance of all people as creations of God who are dearly loved by Him.

  3. Service:
The youth ministry program at ECFC will offer a wide variety of opportunities for teens to serve one another in love. To also extend this service to the community of Houston and other communities in the United States and around the world. Serving together strengthens relationships with one another. It also helps those who are a little intimidated by serving to grow and become a little more comfortable with service by serving alongside someone else.

  4. Equipping:
Through Biblically sound teaching, the youth ministry program will encourage application of God's word. The youth ministry teaches and will provide a model in teaching and lifestyle that will accurately reflect the Christian life in process.

  5. Bible Centered:
The Word of God is a love letter from God to us. It is the goal of the youth ministry program at ECFC to teach His Word with passion. It is the only source of Truth and it's our manual on how to live a life that is pleasing to God. The youth ministry program at ECFC will always strive to show teens that scripture is relevant for every aspect of their lives and will teach teens various ways to apply God's Word to their daily lives.

  6. Fun and Games: As well as teaching and training the youth ministry program at ECFC needs to be a place where kids can have fun together. It is through "fun" activities that teens can break down the barriers that may exist between them and get to know one another on a level that is conducive to developing life-long friendships.
